Wales Cycle Breaks

BRECON - MID WALES

Brecon offers some of the richest and most varied cycling in Wales in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park.

The Brecon cycle rides take you within sight of the Brecon Beacons themselves, but hug river valleys and country lanes through the wonderful scenery of the Park. This is cycling the easy way - taking in all the scenery, history and natural splendour whilst missing out the seriously hilly bits. Half way round there is normally a pub or teashop so you won't have to carry much either. All five routes take you from the town centre so you don't even have to use your car. Most follow the canal towpath which is one of the most beautiful in the country and which is now an easy, low-level cycle path.
